On March 1st 2006, El Salvador was the first country to step up and sign CAFTA. Now, only two years later, government officials are already finding cause for celebration due that exports to the US have grown dramatically and the bilateral trade deficit has tumbled.
Posco E&C to build $500 million power plant
(Source:Reuters) South Korean builder POSCO Engineering & Construction Co said on Tuesday it had won a $500 million order to build a coal power plant in El Salvador. POSCO E&C secured the deal from AES Fonseca, an El Salvador unit of U.S. power company AES Corp.
